The cast of the next one Marvel movies Fantastic Four it gets richer and richer! After announcing on Valentine’s Day who the four actors will be called to bring the members of the team of heroes back to the big screen, it has now been revealed who will have the task of playing another famous character: Silver Surfer.

According to what was reported by Deadlinethe rumors that have been circulating for months would be confirmed: the studios really intend to propose a female version of theherald of Galactusco-star of the 2007 film directed by Tim Story and played on that occasion by Doug Jones (voice of Laurence Fishburne). Sources told the newspaper that this time the onus will fall on Julia Garner.

The actress born in 1994 has become more than famous thanks to the role of Ruth Langmore in the series Ozarks, thanks to which she won three Emmy awards and a Golden Globe for best lead actress in a drama series. Furthermore, she was the protagonist of Inventing Annathe Netflix series who told the story of the scammer Anna Sorokin.

Julia Garner should therefore play a new Silver Surfer, or rather, a female version of her already known to Marvel comics fans: in Fantastic Four we should see in fact Shalla-Bala character who debuted in 1968; Immortal Empress of Zenn-La and love interest of Norrin Radd (Silver Surfer, in fact), later becomes Galactus’ herald herself in exchange for the salvation of her planet.

The news has not been officially confirmed by Marvel Studios, but, considering the source, it seems difficult that it is a mistake. Julia Garner should thus join the cast of Fantastic Four that already matters Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards aka Mr. Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm aka the Invisible Womanthe much-criticized Joseph Quinn as the brother Johnny Storm aka the Human Torch and finally Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm aka the thing.

The film will be directed by Matt Shakman Of WandaVision and its arrival in theaters is set to 25 July 2025.
