Disney has shared a new image from Moana 2 that shows Moana visibly grown after the last animated chapter.
After the surprise announcement of the return of Moana with a sequels Of Oceania, Disney has also seen fit to share a new image of its now grown-up protagonist. After a short teaser trailer through which the cinema release date, Oceania 2 introduced its protagonist again, in a more mature version compared to the previous one released in cinemas in 2016.

The Moana’s new look it emerged during Disney’s annual shareholder meeting, as he points out ComicBook. The protagonist of Moana appears more mature, with marked features and a determined expression while she is in the water, with what appears to be a gigantic sea creature behind her. The plot is currently kept under lock and key, but the sequel will be set three years after the first film, which is why the evident growth of the protagonist is more than justified. As reported Walt Disney Company, Moana will embark on a long journey in search of something (or someone) along the coasts of Motunui. Naturally she won’t be alone: this time she too will be there to support her Maui, along with a new crew of unlikely sailors. A new mission awaits our heroes: this time the journey will lead them to the distant seas of Oceania, into dangerous and long-lost waters.
In the beginning Disney had proposed a television series with new adventures for Moana and Maui, but that idea was then shaped into a film sequel suddenly announced and which will run parallel to the project live action dedicated to Oceania. Directed by Dave Derrick Jr, the sequel will once again involve the original cast. After long negotiations, too Auli’i Cravalho she reprized her role as Moana, as well as Dwayne Johnson will lend his voice to Maui. The animated sequel is expected in theaters November 2024.
