“Viola come il mare 2”: the details

After a first season that was very successful, the new episodes of “Viola come il mare 2”, the Mediaset drama. It starts on Friday 3 May 2024, in prime time on Canale 5, while subsequent episodes are broadcast every Thursday. As we have seen, the wonderful city of Palermo it is the backdrop to most of the scenes in “Viola come il mare 2” – as already happened during the first season. Among the most beautiful shots are those taken on the large terrace shared between Viola and Francesco’s apartments, which overlooks the historic center of the city. The view is that of the splendid Cathedral Basilica of the Holy Virgin Mary of the Assumption, also known as the Palermo Cathedral. Considered UNESCO heritage in the context of Arab-Norman Palermo, it is a masterpiece dating back to 1,100 and remodeled several times, according to the various dictates of the eras it went through.

Other shots were then filmed at the mysterious headquarters of Sicilia WebNews, the editorial office where Viola works: the building is located in Arenella district, located along the north coast of the city, at the foot of the rocky promontory of Monte Pellegrino. Here you can see a beautiful golden beach and two small ports that recall the ancient vocation of the village, born as a fishermen’s settlement. Of course, many other scenes were filmed around Palermo. The locations of Palazzo Artale Tumminelloa building dating back to the 17th century now used for receptions and private events.

The fiction also has, among its locations, also the city ​​of Rome and its surroundings.
