Dwayne Johnson’s reputation seems to be in the balance: after some rumors about the unprofessional attitude taken by the actor on the set of Red One, some time ago the actor returned to where it all began.
The ring could prove to be The Rock’s refuge from these difficult times in Hollywood that he made his own last January joining the board of TKO Holdings (parent company of WWE and UFC) as well as regaining the rights to his wrestling name. Yet little by little more and more information emerged and, having opened Pandora’s box, news of a violent argument with Ryan Gosling on the set of Red Notice soon circulated.
In light of all this it would seem that Dwayne Johnson has taken action to save and save himself and if the world of cinema is hostile to him, the ring confirms itself as the safest place for The Rock who after his great success as an actor no longer seems to look to the future if not in WWE as insider Dave Meltzer states to TheRingReport: “I mean, there were definitely people in WWE who thought his return to WWE this year was an attempt to reverse a losing streak, so to speak. The economic side may have had a significant weight in the choice of The Rock (who left the ring as a professional in 2004) who was offered as much as 30 million dollars to join the board of directors, figures far from his recent rather disappointing cinematographic works. Dwayne Johnson, currently on the set of a new film by A24, is already ready to reinvent himself.
