In the provinces of Cremona and Bolzano, the financiers of the Provincial Command of Cremona carried out a preventive seizure against the directors of a trucking company declared bankrupt. The operation, issued by the investigating judge at the Court of Cremona, involved several municipalities including Cremona, Busto Arsizio, Pessina Cremonese, San Bassano and Bolzano, and led to the seizure of assets for a total value of approximately 230 thousand euros, including eight vehicles.
The seizure concerned the de facto and de jure directors, all of Pakistani nationality, and their family members, involved in the bankruptcy of the company through the transfer of sums of money to personal accounts and the fraudulent transfer of vehicles to a new company they themselves established. These actions led to the bankruptcy of the transport company, making it difficult for the bankruptcy trustee to trace the causes of the failure and locate the movable assets.
The investigation, conducted by the Economic-Financial Police Unit, began on behalf of the local Public Prosecutor’s Office of Cremona. Difficulties encountered during the bankruptcy proceedings, including the unavailability of the sole director of the company and the failure to reconstruct the inventory of assets, required an in-depth investigation, which included financial analyzes and other complex judicial police operations, thus revealing an aggravated fraudulent bankruptcy.
