It has been active since yesterday”Miramar“, the new maritime line that connects Trieste with Grignanoroute designed for the motor vessel “Green Dolphin” and which makes use of a series of ideas, or rather, innovative landings aimed at encouraging the seaside experience of the people of Trieste or occasional visitors.
The line in fact touches the Porto Vecchio/Porto Vivo (Bacino Zero) but above all it stops in the most popular (and liveable) areas of Barcola and Topolini Cedas before arriving in Grignano. Composite project that of “Miramar”. The initiative is sponsored by the Municipality of Trieste and Trieste Trasporti in collaboration with the Port Authority and is financially supported by the Fvg Region, a tender that will involve one million euros divided into the municipal coffers over two years.
An example of the new map related to “Miramar”. Starting from Trieste (Riva Nazario Sauro) at 8.30, you arrive in Porto Vivo around 8.40, in Barcola just before 9, in Topolini Cedas at 9.10 and then in Grignano around 9.35.
Departures from Trieste are also scheduled at 10.30, 13.30, 15.30 and with the last call at 18.00.
The project was presented yesterday during two separate events in Riva Nazario Sauro: in the morning for the press, in the evening again for the media but with additional authorities and a convivial finale for the baptism. How long will it take for it to enter the hearts of the people of Trieste? We cannot say yet – added the Regional Councilor – it is certainly a project with many innovative features, destined to become a flagship of transport proposals”.
