The program of Rivolta Pride 2024 has been presented, scheduled for Saturday 6 July in Bologna, for the defense of the rights of LGBTQIA+ people and more: work, health, the right to housing, welfare are the other themes at the center of this year’s edition, with a clear position taken by the various organizations that organize the demonstration alongside the Palestinian people. Gathering in Piazza XX Settembre from 3:30 pm and departure scheduled for around 5 pm, to then travel through the streets of the city passing through Indipendenza, Irnerio, viale Filpanti, Carducci, Porta Santo Stefano and arrival, scheduled for around eight o’clock, at the Giardini Margherita. Bologna is preparing for the Rivolta Pride scheduled for Saturday 6 July, with a 2024 edition that is as always full of pride and struggle, but which this year will focus not only on the demands of the LGBTQIA+ community against a government defined as fascist by the organizers, ranging from the self-determination of trans people to the right to housing, from access to welfare and the defense of queer parenting, but also on the Palestinian question. “We take to the streets responding to the attacks that the trans community is suffering, especially when the current government is in office, but also bringing solidarity to the Palestinian people and to the people in Gaza who are currently suffering a genocide” explains Mylù of the Smascheramenti collective laboratory, one of the souls of the Bologna pride. There are many realities within the Rivolta Pride, with seven floats and various interventions planned for the parade. “We expect to have at least the numbers of last year – he concludes – which were around 50/60 thousand“.
