Today – Monday 1st July – the summer transfer market session began. Torino – Paolo Vanoli has been official for over a week now – must start thinking about the 2024/2025 season. Among the various knots to be untied at home there is the issue related to the second goalkeeper: in the last season the vice Milinkovic-Savic it was Luca Twin, whose contract with Torino expired just yesterday and is now free to join a team on a free transfer. The Granata club will also have to clarify the situation with Vanja: the goalkeeper finished the European Championship prematurely with Serbia (who exited in the group stage) and the goalkeeper never played. Coach Stojkovic – after always starting him in the qualifiers – at Euro2024 preferred Rajkovic in the three Group C matches. His contract with Torino will expire in June 2026 and, with Juric’s farewell, his departure in case a suitable offer arrives for the Granata.

Torino currently has three goalkeepers in their first team squad: in addition to Vanja, there is Pietro Strainer it’s Michael Popa. Between the two youngsters, Passador has shown important things in the Primavera in the 2022/23 season, but last year – after a disappointing first part in Rimini – he returned to base and only saw the field once with the Primavera. It remains to be seen whether the boy will give guarantees, although it is true that he needs to play and therefore the loan hypothesis is more than concrete.
