Tomorrow, Tuesday, July 2, at the Rovigo A13 Highway Police Subsection, a commemoration will be held in memory of the State Police Select Agent Ilaria Maria Leandri, fell into service in the year 1997, at the young age of 27.

The celebration held by the Chaplain of the State Police of Rovigo Don Gianni Vettorello, will be attended by the Agent’s family and colleagues. Also present at the ceremony will be the Deputy Prefect of Rovigo, Dr. Valeria Gaspari, the Police Commissioner Dr. Giovanni Battista Scali, the Director of the Veneto Highway Police Department Dr. Barbara Barra.
“The ceremony will begin with the laying of a wreath of flowers and will continue with the celebration of the Holy Mass in repose and with a brief moment of reflection, during which the moments in the life of Selected Agent Leandri will be remembered who, after having passed the competition in the Police, was hired into service on 20 December 1993 and, subsequently, after attending the course at the Agents student school in Peschiera del Garda, she was then assigned to the Mantua Police Headquarters. In 1997, Selected Agent Leandri was assigned to the Rovigo A13 Traffic Police Subsection.
“After a short time at the Department, during the investigation of a road accident, where he intervened to help the injured, was hit by an industrial vehicle and died as a result of the very serious injuries sustained”.
