Five councilors for the Democratic Party, two for the Massari list (although not especially external), one for Europa Verde/Possibile and one for the 5 Star Movement. The scheme seems decided – a 5-2-1-1 – the interpreters of the new council of the mayor of Reggio Emilia, Marco Massari, are still to be chosen, in view of the first City Council that in other cities has already taken place, here it still has to be called for July 8.
Those who are currently most certain of the starting shirt seem to be those of the minor allies: the green one Carlotta Bonvicini – close to the wedding, on 6 July in Scandiano, with the mayor Matteo Nasciuti – is moving towards reconfirmation, for the 5 Star Movement, after the general stampede, there are no great alternatives in sight to Roberto Neulichedlfirst of those elected with as many as… 64 preferences.
The names of the former provincial councilor in the second half of the 1980s are mentioned as Massari’s trusted men Joseph Pezzarossi (who is also being talked about as a possible successor to Ermete Fiaccadori at the helm of the provincial ANPI), of the jurist Elia Minari committed since the days of Cortocircuito on the issues of legality and the big picture of cooperation Mark Pedroniwho however could also replace Moris Ferretti as vice president of Iren at the end of the year.
The large delegation of the Democratic Party, on the other hand, is still to be composed. It is practically certain Lanfranco De Franco as deputy mayor, also the second most voted – Stefania Bondavalli – should be in the council. For the other three positions, many councilors elected (by the outgoing councillor) are competing Annalisa Rabitti a Marwa Mahmoudyes Davide Prandi a Cecilia Barilli) who could also compete for the equally well-paid position of Prime Minister, where however Matteo Iori rightly aims at the strong reconfirmation of the good work done in this mandate, also appreciated by the opposition. But also external exponents of the party, starting with the former group leader and city secretary Gianluca Cantergiani and by those who are about to finish their mandate in the Region: above all Roberta Mori e Federico Friend.
Per Cosimo Pederzoli of the Left in the Municipality – which by a few votes did not reach the quorum to enter the Council – the position of “ambassador of peace” should be invented.
Finally, as regards Massari’s staff, the hypothesis of the former mayor of Albinea seems to have faded away. Nico Gilbert as head of cabinet (a role also left uncovered in the Province after Federico Ferrari has become Councilor for Culture in Sassuolo): the journalist will be there instead Diego Oneda who oversaw the electoral campaign and will leave the press office of the Municipality of Scandiano.
