In the EU MORAL project, focus on young people, inactive women and adults with low skills

The Basilicata Chamber of Commerce, partner of the EU MORAL project, is studying microcredentials as a “Passport for Employment and Inclusion” to insert vulnerable groups into the labor market.

The Basilicata Chamber of Commerce, in collaboration with ASNOR, is working on the project “MORAL – Microcredentials: a Passport for Employment and Inclusion”, part of the Erasmus+ Programme. The initiative aims to facilitate access to the labor market for the long-term unemployed, with particular attention to young people, economically inactive women and adults with low skills.

The project involves the development of an “Employment Passport”, consisting of micro-credentials that certify the possession of key skills needed for the labor market. These micro-credentials will be accessible through a dedicated online platform, promoting lifelong learning.

To collect data and feedback from the main players in the labor market, the Basilicata Chamber of Commerce organized two focus groups with entrepreneurs, managers, human resources staff and career counselors, illustrating the project and gathering opinions on the difficulties of the long-term unemployed.

Next September, the Basilicata Chamber of Commerce will host the second transnational meeting of the project, with the participation of all partners, including MMC Management Center LTD of Nicosia, Cyprus, the project leader.
