TREVISO D’Angelo HarrisonAmerican guard born in ’93 originally from Alaska, is the fifth confirmation for the roster of Nutribullet Treviso Basket 2024-2025. Harrison, who played a key role in the survival of coach Vitucci’s team last season, will still be in white and blue. The player and club have in fact decided not to use the option to opt out of the contract signed last summer. Class and technique in attack, but also a lot of determination in their own half of the court. The 2024-25 Nutribullet will also start again from the leadership of ‘Dee’, who in the season just ended collected averages of 13.4 points, 3.7 rebounds, 1.9 assists and above all 1.4 steals per game, fifth in this special ranking among all the players in our championship. After a first part of the season characterized by some physical problems, Harrison changed gear in the second half of the season, and with him all of Treviso Basket. 15.8 points on average in the second half of the championship, with a season high of 27 points in the decisive victory on the last day against Bertram Derthona Tortona.

“We never had any doubts about D’Angelo’s importance to the team,” he says. Simone Giofrè – so much so that his second half of the championship amply demonstrated it. Harrison is not only a player of undoubted value but he is also a special and important person within a group and it will therefore be a pleasure to have him with us again”.

THE AMERICAN ACE

Welcome back D’Angelo, happy to have stayed in Treviso? What are your feelings?

“For me it was an obvious choice, I always knew that in the end I would stay here. Coach Vitucci and the sports director Giofrè played an important role in this decision, and seeing how the club moved on the market between the confirmations that arrived and the announcement of Mazzola made everything even easier”.

Coming from a season in which you fought as a team and overcame great adversity to reach safety, how much do you think you learned from a similar year?

“Things didn’t go as we would have liked, especially at the start, but we found the mental strength to get back up and reach our goal. It was a formative year, in which we often came close to winning games that then slipped away from us in the final possessions, but this is basketball and these are things that happen, situations from which we can learn to better present ourselves for the season that awaits us”.

Happy to see again so many athletes with whom you shared your first year in Treviso?

‘Yes, absolutely. We all grew a lot together over the course of the season, and we all faced adversity with the right mentality. As I was saying, meeting Ky, Mezza, Osi and Pauly was a positive factor for me in my stay at Nutribullet. I can’t wait to get back to the gym and train with them again, as well as meeting the new teammates who will arrive.”

Plans for the summer?

“I’m training practically every day alternating between the field and the gym, I hope to be polished by the time I’m back in Treviso.”

Do you want to say something to your fans?

“I am determined to make sure that next season is different from last, and I can’t wait to return to a match in the Palaverde, it is a unique environment. Our fans have played a decisive role throughout the year and they have always been by our side.”
