Ztl in Palermo, the new regulations come into force from tomorrow – the Fatto Nisseno

From tomorrow new rules for free passes in the ZTL in Palermo. The new regulation comes into force. The ordinance was signed last Thursday. The resolution was approved by the municipal council on 30 May this year, after more than ten thousand free passes issued by the same administration had been verified without many beneficiaries meeting the requirements. The management of the issuing of free passes is now entrusted exclusively to the Amat which will have to carry out periodic checks. Two lists for free passes have been established, one permanent and one temporary. The Ztl is a city area subject to payment for car access and has the aim of reducing air pollution levels (Low emission zone). The passes are free for cars included in the two “white lists”, paid for all the others (daily, monthly, half-yearly, annual pass). The free passes are included in the white list “with an expiry date coinciding with the validity of the insurance policy and will subsequently be renewed after receipt of the new policy”.
