Yet another theft in Oratino: the chronicle of a nightmare night

Oratino, June 30th. A quiet night in June turned into a nightmare for the residents of Oratino, a small village in the heart of Molise. Yet another theft shook the community, which had already had to deal with similar episodes last December. This time, the thieves adopted a bold and well-organized modus operandi, exposing flaws in the local security system.

The criminal action began with a hole in the fence that demarcated the targeted property. The thieves used a piece of wire to block the automatic gate, thus gaining precious time to carry out their plan and secure an escape route. The escape took place across the fields, with the criminals covering hundreds of meters on foot, taking advantage of the darkness and knowledge of the area.

The episode immediately triggered social alarm among the residents of Oratino. The homes along the sheep track had already been targeted in the past, and last night’s theft has rekindled the fears and concerns of the inhabitants. The feeling of insecurity is palpable, and the community is wondering what measures to take to protect itself from further intrusions.

Immediately after the theft, an officer from a security company intercepted a suspicious man on the provincial road with a lit torch. The security guard promptly alerted a police patrol, which intervened on site and identified the man in the barracks. Investigations are still underway to ascertain the latter’s involvement in the theft.
