In the courtyard of Palazzo Mazzolari Mosca, the Arci Pesaro Urbino festival returns, brightening up the summer of the little ones with puppets, marionettes and feelings. A high-quality proposal that is also much loved by tourist families
PESARO – It is the summer event most loved by children – and not only – and it is an excellence of Pesaro that has a very consolidated tradition behind it that reaches its 37th edition in the year of Pesaro 2024. From 3 to 12 July (9.30 pm), the Puppet Opera Festival con six appointments in the court of Palazzo Mazzolari Moscow which also includes the space named after Dario Fo and Franca Rame. The formula – which is also very popular with those who are no longer very young – is always the same and stages high-quality performances with puppets, marionettes, dolls and feelings to be enjoyed with all the senses. The offer includes music with fascinating stories, the taste of laughter and the good guys who defeat the lies of their antagonists, the immense pleasure of the show and animated theatre. Because Puppets live, perhaps, in the most important parts of our lives: just below the heart, between courage and fear, where you can hear a small drum beating. Their adventures take place on the meadow of desires, in the province of fantasy; many call them feelings. BOF is a beautiful feeling.
In addition to the 6 shows – a fixed stop on the calendar of families of tourists visiting Pesaro -, the BOF 2024 program offers two ‘fantastic manual’ workshops on the afternoons of July 3 and 10 (5 pm, free admission).
A little gem in honor of Pesaro 2024: from this year the BOF also has its own pin, an unmissable gadget where the classic crab stands out in the center of a red flower with white polka dots perfectly in line with the new ‘flower Bof’ style graphics .
