The people of Brescia shine at the Bocconi Mathematical Games

The Brescian competitors achieved excellent results at the 31st national edition of the Math games Bites.

There were over 2,700 finalistscoming from all over Italy, who took part in the competition which at the end of May decreed the winners who will fly to France in August to compete for the international final. Among these, Matteo Musumeciformer student of Calini and now a university student in Pisa, ranked second in the L2 categorywhich brings together students in their fifth year of high school and their first two years of university.

The organizers only released the final rankings this week, as the games website was hacked, causing a number of problems.

The Charge of the Sixty

The Brescia representation at the Milanese final it was made up of about sixty participantsdistributed in the various categories: from C1, for first and second year students, to C2 for third year and first year students, to L1, for second, third and fourth year secondary school students, to GP, reserved for adults, from the 3rd year of university.

Among the youngest in the C2 category, Flavio Marchesi of the Glisenti middle school in Vestone got the 24th placeWhile Ludovica Rial Corsini from Rovato it has placed itself 28th. In the very young of C1 Federico Caria 42nd and Daniel Stepien 64th.

The selection

All the participants from Brescia took part in the provincial semi-final last March, held at the Leonardo high school, under the coordination of teacher Laura Ziche, coordinator of the games for the Brescia area.
