VAST. Everything is ready for the climax of the Feast of St. Paul the Apostle 2024the long-awaited moment of prayer and aggregation for the Community of San Paolo and for the entire territory, which has now become an essential tradition for many.
A family celebration and for families, in which everyone finds space and welcome, in the joyful climate of devotion to the great Saint, in the shadow of the mighty bell tower of the Church dedicated to him.
As usual, the celebrations began with a day entirely dedicated to prayer. With Vespers yesterday, Friday 28 June, the Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul opened; followed, at 7 pm, by the Holy Mass and the procession through the streets of the neighborhood, in the presence of the parish groups, the Knights of the Equestrian Order of the Holy Sepulcher of Jerusalem, the Brotherhoods, the ANMI, the UNITALSI, the Scouts and of the Monteodorisio Band.
During the weekend the celebration continues with two days in which prayer is interspersed with moments of healthy fun for everyone. We will continue to thank the Lord with Holy Masses on Saturday at 7pm and Sunday at 8.30am, 11am and 7pm.
For entertainment, this year we have thought of music suitable for creating a festive atmosphere, in which everyone will be able to sing the great timeless hits proposed by the musicians who will alternate in the two evenings. Saturday 29 June at 9 pm the Tribute Band In the footsteps of Pooh. The group, born in 1979, boasts the title of the most important and longest-running Pooh cover band. Approved by the originals, it boasts over 30 years of musical activity in the various places of Italy.
Sunday 30 June, at 9pm, the “singer” will be there to cheer up the evening Gianfranco Lacchiwith his show Let’s Morandiamo. Known to the general public for having won an episode of Tali e Quali Show in 2022, he has been singing the most important songs of the Emilian artist in the clubs of the peninsula for more than 20 years, obtaining more than positive feedback everywhere.
L’gastronomic offer for both evenings it is, as always, very varied and inviting. The festival of cavatelli alla pescatrice and fried fish has reached its nineteenth edition and the festival menu It is now an appointment with taste that you can’t miss. To satisfy the palates of all ages, there are other proposals offered by the food stands (sandwiches, arrosticini, chips) and the sweet counter (scrippelle and other typical sweets).
For the little ones, fun is guaranteed from 5pm onwards with inflatable games and many prizes charity fishing. For the ladies, there will be many offers from the Embroidery Bank and the Costume Jewelry Bank; for everyone, the Religious Articles Bank.
