The bad weather that hit the province of Teramo caused numerous critical issues, requiring the timely intervention of the firefighters.
The teams, coming from the Teramo Command and the Roseto degli Abruzzi and Nereto detachments, were involved in various operations to deal with the effects of the adverse weather conditions.
The forces of the Fire fighters were called to intervene throughout the province, with particular attention to the northern area of the Teramo coast. Among the main activities carried out were the draining of flooded basements and the removal of dangerous trees and branches that threatened the safety of residential areas and infrastructure.
Inestimable damage in Abruzzo
A critical situation occurred on the Giulianova seafrontwhere a tall maritime pine was in precarious conditions of stability due to strong gusts of wind. A team from the detachment of the Firefighters of Roseto degli Abruzzi promptly intervened to remove the tree at risk of falling. To complete the operation safely, it was necessary to use the ladder truck sent to the site by the Teramo Provincial Command.
The commitment of the firefighters was not limited to the coastal area alone. Even in internal locations such as Alba Adriatica and Martinsicuro similar cases have been reported with trees and branches threatening public safety. In these cases, the teams of the local detachments worked in synergy with mutual support to deal with the most complex emergencies.
Among the most significant interventions was the one carried out in the evening at Martinsicurowhere a large cypress tree had fallen onto the roof of a building located in via Paolucci. This operation required particular attention and precision by the rescuers to remove the tree without causing further damage to the structure involved.
The bad weather has put the Teramo province to the test, but thanks to the timely and coordinated intervention of the Fire Brigade, it was possible prevent greater damage to private properties and ensure public safety in areas affected by adverse weather conditions. The collaboration between the different detachments demonstrated once again the importance of synergy in rescue operations.
