It is fresh from the peremptory success over France which occurred with the support of an oceanic and festive crowd. Subsequently the Settebello vice world champion, as already happened with the transalpines, repeated in a common full immersion with the Romanian representative culminating in the friendly won by 14-4.
And finally the highlight arrives, in Alghero, in a quadrangular shared with three other powers: Spain, Croatia and Greece. Deliberately recruited by the Italian technical commissioner Sandro Campagna with the aim of arriving in good condition at the Paris Olympic event at the end of July.
For the FIN Sardinia of the president Danilo Russu a hint of pride clearly emerges: it is the fourth consecutive year of a Sardinia Cup capable of leaving its mark among the professionals of the discipline; but also the other Sardinian sportsmen know very well how much charm is brought by a selection that in history has given so many satisfactions and above all medals to our Country.
The common people of Alghero but also the numerous tourists who flock to the wonderful city in the north-west of Sardinia will give a particular touch of liveliness to the grandstand of the municipal swimming facility of Maria Pia, from 4 to 6 July 2024. And what is very important, given the free admission entrance, we must not spare ourselves the cheering.
Further information on the upcoming international event will be provided during the press conference on July 1st, in Alghero, at the Lo Quarter Hall of the Alghero Foundation, in Largo San Francesco, 15 (starting at 10:30).
The Technical Commissioner of the Settebello will speak Sandro Campagna. The Sardinia Region will be represented by the Councilor for Tourism, Crafts and Commerce Franco Cuccureddu and by the president of the Regional Commission for Health, Social Policies and Sport Carla Fundoni. The honors of the house will also come from the president of the Alghero Foundation Neria De Giovanni. Also speaking are the CONI Sardinia provincial delegate Joseph Manca and obviously of the President FIN Sardinia Danilo Russu.
