Inaugurated yesterday – and open to visitors until July 14th – at the Villa Luca Museum in Coldirodithe exhibition of photographs of Bart Herreman.

Bart Herrreman

Bart Herreman was born in Belgium where he lived until the 1960s, then attended the Sint Joost academy in Breda, Holland. He moved to Italy, initially for a one-year internship, but then remained there permanently, choosing Milan as his adopted city. And his story begins right in the city of Milan career as a photographer: from fashion to reportage photography, from furniture and architecture to still life. More recently, with the advent of digital photography, he continues his research, creating, in each of his works, a fantastic and surreal world; man, animals, flowers coexist in an unlikely and imaginative scenario.

The exhibition

Herreman uses photography from a decidedly pictorial perspective: for the chromatic and light choices and also for the arrangement of the elements, at the same time protagonists and narrators of his works. In one of the two exhibition rooms of Villa Luca, works will be exhibited in which i flowers of Sanremorecently photographed during his holiday on the Riviera, will be the protagonists of every single “painting” while in the second room you can admire some of the author’s most famous photographs.

The exhibition can be visited on weekends, during the museum’s opening hours.
