The Regional Council of Lazio, led by President Francesco Rocca, has approved three resolutions for the first phase of the territorial strategy of the provinces of Latina, Viterbo and Rieti. On the proposal of the President and Councilors Roberta Angelilli and Giancarlo Righini, 12 million euros have been allocated for Latina, 11 million for Viterbo and 9.5 million for Rieti, for a total of 32.5 million euros.

Details on Funded Projects

The resolutions include funding of 46 thousand euros for each municipal administration, intended for the development of the territorial strategy. Latina will see 18 interventions financed, Viterbo 11 works and Rieti 5 projects. These funds come from the Regional Plan of the European Regional Development Fund 2021-2027, in line with the objective of bringing Europe closer to its citizens.

Investment Objectives

“These interventions represent a fundamental step for the economic and social growth of the provinces,” declared Roberta Angelilli, vice-president of the Lazio Region and councilor for economic development. “The initiative supports local development, promotes sustainable management of resources and improves the quality of life of citizens.”

Collaborations and Strategy Implementation

The agreements establish the legal relationships between the regional administration and the Municipalities of Latina, Viterbo and Rieti, ensuring the implementation of territorial strategies. Angelilli highlighted the importance of collaboration with local administrations and entities active in the territory to strengthen the economic and social identity of the region.

Awards and Perspectives

Vice President Angelilli thanked Enrico Tiero, president of the Economic Development commission of the Lazio Regional Council, for his contribution. “The Lazio Region’s commitment to supporting and developing the territories is constant.
