Myenergy Reggio Calabria is particularly pleased to announce for the 24/25 sports season, the hiring of Ilario Simonetti, born in 2004, from Stilo in Reggio Calabria.
Ilario Simonetti meets the world of basketball at Eutimo Locri, the club where he took his first steps until reaching the Under 16 youth national team. He is a physically powerful athlete who is constantly growing and can play both as a power forward and a small forward.
An experience in Ferrara in Vis in C Gold in the 21/22 season and subsequently at Virtus Bava Pozzuoli in Serie B in the 22/23 season to then arrive in Reggio Calabria in neroarancio at Myenergy, in the last challenging inter-regional Serie B season , culminating in access to the play offs.
Ilario was ready for every occasion and with his dynamism, his athleticism, his attachment to the shirt, he inflamed the hearts of the black and orange fans.
An imposing and tenacious player who works hard, he has included in his technical baggage a good shot from medium and long range.
Confirmed by President Laganà’s club for his technical and personal qualities, he is the profile that embodies the essence of the black and orange, the player that Coach Giulio Cadeo has declared he appreciates for many aspects.
