Weekend of waiting and working at Fortitudo. While waiting to make the new coach official, whose confirmation could be delayed by a few days, Fortitudo is now talking about the transfer market. General director Nicolò Basciano and vice president Teo Alibegovic are probing the market in search of the right elements to complete the team’s roster.
Many contacts, informative calls, but nothing concluded yet if it is true that for the construction of the new Fortitudo house we will start from the foundations, that is to say from a solid and united company and from the technical figure of the head coach. The new coach, decidedly more Devis Cagnardi than Daniele Parente, will have the task of dictating the guidelines for the choice of the two foreigners, always hoping for Freeman even if with a significant market adjustment, Ogden very very difficult, and above all the choice of a bench that will have to be involved right away.
The first names are starting to be mentioned: Effe has been linked to the name of the former Vanoli Cremona player, Matteo Piccoli. From Varesino, a 195cm wing guard, 29 years old, Piccoli was the protagonist of Vanoli Cremona’s promotion to Serie A and then this year’s salvation of the Lombard club in the top division.
At the moment those with Piccoli, but not only with him, are only contacts, also because it will be up to the management staff and the coach to evaluate the situation and the budget, adjusted this year towards the top, and make the choices to complete the team.

Confirming how the company is trying to work all-round, at Fortitudo, on the Academy side, there is great satisfaction for Nicolò Braccio.
The young Effe winger, often and willingly called up to the first team, has in fact been included among the reserve players available to coach Marco Sodini for the Under 18 National team training camp, scheduled in Seregno, for a summer that will culminate with the European Championships for the category, scheduled in Tampere, Finland from 27 July to 4 August.
Although a reserve, Braccio’s can only be seen as the right recognition for the work that the Academy is also carrying out at youth level.
