Rimini Basketball Rebirth is pleased to announce the confirmation of its American Justin Blake Johnson also for the next 2024/2025 season. The player had already signed a two-year contract last summer. During the past championship, which culminated with the access for the second consecutive year to the playoffs, Justin has become a dominant light in the team led by coach Sandro Dell’Agnello. Two data above all are enough to understand the impact that the number #23 in red and white had: during the season he finished in double double on 18 occasions and in the last 12 games his performance has risen to 18.4 points on average. This is his performance in his first year in Rimini. Regular season: Averaged 14 points plus 9.4 rebounds. Clock phase: Averaged 18.4 points plus 10.6 rebounds. Playoff series with Rieti: Averaged 13.7 points plus 11.6 rebounds. Numbers that have made Justin a true fan favorite.
Power forward/center, born May 23, 1996, 201 centimeters, originally from Bowling Green (Kentucky), Johnson graduated from Western Kentucky University in 2018, starting his professional career right here in Italy, in Serie A2, in Cagliari. With the Hertz Cagliari jersey, in 2018/2019, he immediately showed off with 16.7 points on average plus 9.4 rebounds and 1.3 assists. The following year, he was called up to Serie A1 by Giorgio Tesi Group: in the top tournament, he averaged 13.4 points plus 6.9 rebounds. Then two seasons at UnaHotels Reggio Emilia: the first at 7.1 points plus 5.6 rebounds, the second at 8.3 points plus 5.9 rebounds. In the top Italian tournament, the new USA from Rimini recorded 79 games played in his career with 708 points scored. Two summers ago he was called up by Ludwigsburg, in the top German tournament, where he finished with 8.7 points and 5.1 rebounds.
