Renzo Cavestro, director of our association in Padua, will lead Confagricoltura Veneto from July 1st. He will replace Massimo Chiarelli who will return to deal only with the association in Polesano.

“I have a challenging but very stimulating task ahead of me. I thank President Lodovico Giustiniani and the entire Council of Confagricoltura Veneto for the trust that has been placed in me. I hope I do not disappoint expectations. Naturally, I thank my colleague and friend Massimo Chiarelli for the excellent work he has done in the two years of management of the Regional Federation,” commented Cavestro.

For the agricultural sector, the regional context is an important reference for many policies: from the use of European funds for rural development to the protection of the territory and the environment; from work to training. Confagricoltura in Veneto associates 13 thousand agricultural companies, in which a new class of entrepreneurs emerges, competent and evolved, made up of many young people and women interested in innovation and sustainability.

It is on these two fronts, innovation and sustainability, that the Association will have to provide answers to businesses, collaborating with local bodies and institutions starting from the Region to the regional payment agency Avepa. The new director’s first objective: “to work together with all the provincial associations of Confagricoltura to simplify the life of associated agricultural businesses and provide them with the tools necessary to invest and grow”.

Dr. Cavestro will also temporarily retain the position of director of Confagricoltura Padova.
