The Tour de France is the major men’s professional road cycling stage race, which takes place annually along the roads of France. The third stage of the sporting event will start in Piacenza. 4,500 people are expected for the occasion, including cyclists, organizers, technical staff, advertising caravan staff and journalists. On the field they will be engaged: 15 rescue teams on footmade up of 2 operators each who will take care of the assistance of both the public at the event and the people who live along the city route of the tour; 8 emergency ambulances dedicated ambulances distributed along the route of the demonstrations, in strategic points of the event: 6 ambulances in the downtown area and 2 along the Via Emilia in San Nicolò and Castel San Giovanni; 1 self-nursing”.
