The “Lucan Territory Defense” Committee will present a complaint so that the judiciary can proceed to ascertain any responsibilities
The “Difesa Territorio Lucano” Committee, made up of dozens of farmers and citizens with the aim of giving greater dignity to the agricultural sector by asking the competent institutions to reduce damage from wild fauna, has summoned all the citizens of the district to Montalbano Jonico, in the council chamber, on Monday 1 July 2024, at 7:30 pm.
After the meetings of recent months in the area (Montalbano Jonico, Tursi, San Giorgio Lucano), the committee announces in a note that it has instructed the lawyer Melidoro to take every possible path to urge the competent institutions to intervene promptly and effectively. During Monday’s meeting, the Committee’s management and the lawyer will illustrate the path undertaken so far.
Furthermore, all those present will be invited to sign a complaint that the lawyer Melidoro will file with the competent Court so that the judiciary can proceed to ascertain any criminal liability against all those who have had the power to contain the damage caused by wild fauna in recent years. The situation is now out of control and the institutions at all levels have proven to be inadequate, so much so as to determine a further worsening of the situation to the point of being unsustainable today.
