Second evening of Bct in the heart of the historic center of Benevento. Protagonists Riccardo Scamarcio, Francesco and Mario Di Leva, Dinsieme, Francesco Panella and Fabrizio Ievolella. In Piazza Roma the acclaimed actor from Puglia, in the event produced in collaboration with the University of Sannio, remembers Marcello Mastroianni 100 years after his birth and talks about his latest film Race for Glory: Audi vs. Lancia screened immediately after the conversation with the journalist Martina Riva.
Scamarcio is very attached to Benevento. In fact he is keen to remember: “I graduated from the Cattaneo institute in ’89. I remember that my friends and I left Andria by car. I wasn’t exactly a model student but I recovered later…”. Hence the joke of the rector Canfora who awarded him the special prize of the university at the end: “If you want to graduate I recommend the courses at the University of Sannio”.
Scamarcio di Mastroianni loves the charm of normality: “For me he is an absolute reference, a special actor because his temperament as a man and his talent as an artist coincide completely”. But there is also room for a bit of introspection: “I have always had a deep connection with the theater but also a bit of annoyance, because at a certain point I did it as a sort of self-punishment”. And the special encounters on the set of Modì, with Johnny Depp and Al Pacino: “An unforgettable experience, I would never have imagined making a film with both of them. It also takes a bit of the C factor”.

Next up was Francesco Panella, host of Little Big Italy, together with Fabrizio Ievolella, chief operating officer of Banijay Italia, who talked about the evolution of food shows on TV. In Piazza Santa Sofia, Francesco Di Leva, winner of the David di Donatello, together with his son Mario, both on the set of ‘Nottefonda’: “My son must be an actor because it’s the best job in the world, while at the same time dedicating himself to studying” he said.
