In the early evening of yesterday, 27 June 2024, at the Social Center of Pontepiccolo, Vinicio Calio’, in the presence of a large number of citizens, the Catanzaro Consumer Movement was presented.
The new association has as its objectives the defense of the individual and collective rights and interests of users, the improvement of the quality of life of citizens and development. The president was present, Dr. Luca Perricelli, the vice president Giuseppe Apostoliti, as well as the president of Arci Catanzaro, Dr. Rosario Bressi, while for the Municipality of Catanzaro the PSI Councillor, the lawyer, intervened. The Catanzaro movement has obtained accreditation from the “Movimento Consumatori APS”, with national headquarters in Rome, an organization born in 1985, which is made up of various sections spread across Italy and has been a member of the ARCI Federation since its inception.
The management and the founding members of the Catanzaro section explained to the citizens together with their president pro tempore how they intend to operate in the city area, trying not only to cure, but above all to prevent, to protect the interests of the weakest groups, those of consumers, vulnerable users.
To this end, the movement aims at an activism that translates above all into dissemination and information, informative events in which the consumer will be provided with the tools of knowledge, about rights and duties, among other things in continuous change, especially in the era of the birth of asymmetric contracts.
In conclusion, the President, Dr. Luca Perricelli, concluded that the movement will provide a first aid service necessary to understand, regarding the case presented, whether the consumer’s rights have been violated and what can be done subsequently.
The consumer will be able to receive continuous information through the Instagram page of the Catanzaro section of the Consumer Movement, and will also be able to contact the branches via telephone, e-mail and email, or be received in person during the opening hours to the public.
