From the shelter Valasco to the Livio Bianco. From the Genoa to the This. All the refuges of the Gesso Valleyin the Cuneo area, are currently unreachable due to the bad weather that has hit the area again in recent hours

Hikers stranded
The shelters thus remain isolated after heavy rains. This is reported by the Rescue Alpine and speleological Piedmontese. There are 10 people to be recovered at the Morelli refuge, 8 at the Soria refuge, 1 at Questa.
«The technicians – declare the Rescue managers – were involved in the activities of the municipal operations center activated in Valdieri following the intense rainfall that affected the Gesso valley. At the moment all the refuges at high altitude are isolated. People present were asked to remain at the facilities while waiting check the conditions of the waterways and the practicability of the paths. There are no critical situations so we will wait for an improvement in the weather to evaluate possible evacuations by air.”
«The wave of heavy rain continues. We managed to realize the situation along the way. The Cabrera valley, Graveirette and the plain are impassable due to the water flow of the rivers of the same name.

Landslides and closed roads

Cycle paths closed
Also due to the bad weather, the Municipality of Cuneo is about to issue an ordinance with which as a precaution it closes all accesses to the cycle paths along its course, at least until 12pm on Thursday 27 June. This morning, Tuesday 25th, the Civil protection will also carry out an inspection on the Stura side: with a high probability, here too, some accesses to paths and cycle paths will be closed.
Drinking water at risk
And even drinking water is at risk Cuneo, Borgo San Dalmazzo, Boves, Castelletto Stura they prohibit the use of water due to bad weather. «There is an increasing level of turbidity in the water at the Bandito source (Valdieri) – they say from the municipalities -. Damage to agriculture
