Today’s edition of “Il Corriere dello Sport” focuses on Catanzaro and the future of Vandeputte.
The wind is once again blowing in favor (not just metaphorically) of Catanzaro and no longer against it. In fact, this time the breeze is blowing in the direction of an agreement that would be close with Mr. Vivarini, such as to allow as a consequence the rapprochement with Alberto Aquilani, ready to sit on the Giallorossi bench after a long wait. Never despair, even if there are no signatures.
DYNAMIC PRESIDENT. The activism of the president Floriano Noto, ready to personally manage the most delicate issue of his management which is about to begin the seventh season, or the divergence of ideas with the coach contracted also for the year which opens on Monday which is so good he did on the bench, he is close to finishing. Finally at the Giallorossi we can think about starting again, but there is always the most important box to fill, that of the coach, with Alberto Aquilani who as the designated Giallorossi coach has been waiting for quite a while, declining other offers. The sporting director Polito, after having been in Milan for some market surveys, will be at the headquarters this weekend together with the general manager Paolo Morganti, he has also started contacts with Eugenio Corini, former Palermo and winner of the B series with Brescia, and Paolo Bianco, former Modena player and collaborator of Massimiliano Allegri at Juventus (2022/23), but new names are not excluded for a bench that president Noto wants with a certain technical continuity.
OPERATIONAL POLICEMAN. While waiting for the official announcements on the most anticipated front of the coach, the one who is not sitting idle is the new sporting director, Ciro Polito, dealing with many market negotiations ready to officially take off on Monday, the sporting director filters the various requests received to get to the Belgian offensive winger Jari Vandeputte (28) with Udinese and Torino on one side and Salernitana and Cremonese who have joined Palermo in the valuations that are around 3 million. Also Andrea Fulignati (29) is much courted, Palermo and Cremonese in pole position for a goalkeeper who has shown he can also play well with his feet, precious, therefore, in building the game from the back. For Stefano Scognamillo (30) there is Salernitana.
