BARI – On Monday 1 July, with the first evening opening of the market in Via Portoghese in Bari, the season of markets evenings, organized again this year thanks to the collaboration between the Department of Economic Development and the trade unions and employers’ associations of markets.
Below is the calendar of openings planned for the first week of July and the first week of August, as foreseen by the strategic document of commerce.
- July 1st – August 5th Portoghese Street Market
- July 2 – August 6 markets via Vaccarella, Carbonara/ via Del Turco, Palese
- 3 July – 7 August markets new Santo Spirito area / via fallen Partigiani Japigia / Torre a Mare
- 4 July – 8 August Piazzale Lorusso market, San Pasquale
- 5 July – 9 August market via De Ribera, San Paolo.

“That of the markets evenings is a heritage that should not be lost and that will continue to offer citizens opportunities for shopping and socialising in a new form, which in recent years has rewarded economic operators who, together with us, have been able to take up this new challenge – comments the Councillor for Economic Development, Carla Palone -. We have invested heavily in trade as a lever of sociality, trying to reconcile the working hours of market traders with the life hours of citizens, promoting opportunities and new forms of meeting between supply and demand. So we also tried to create a new clientele of markets citizens, who we hope can also gain loyalty and help our citizens grow thanks to initiatives like this markets”.
