Police checks in Caltanissetta, Gela and Niscemi ordered by Police Chief Pinuccia Albertina Agnello. The services were carried out with the use of the crews of the Crime Prevention Units, supported by the police officers of the General Prevention and Public Aid Office of the capital and by crews of the Territorial Control Offices of the Police Stations of Gela and Niscemi.

Specifically, the areas of the three cities were the subject of dynamic patrols and checkpoints in order to act as a deterrent especially for predatory crimes that most frequently involve pedestrians and cars. In Caltanissetta, the Police crews carried out several checkpoints identifying 720 people, of which 145 tested positive in the Interforce Data Bank, and 360 vehicles; 125 checks were carried out on people under special surveillance, house arrest and subjected to other anti-crime measures; 15 traffic violations were issued and 7 personal and house searches were carried out. Two people (a 38-year-old and a 30-year-old) were both arrested for the crime of stalking. Another 4 people were reported to the Judicial Authority for the crimes of complicity in robbery, personal injury and damage. In Gela, 920 people were identified, of which 211 were burdened by police records, and 345 vehicles. 193 people were checked on special surveillance and house arrest; 28 traffic violations were detected, 11 people were reported to the Prefecture for personal use of narcotics, 15 searches were carried out with seizure of cocaine, hashish and marijuana. During the activity, 4 people were arrested for mistreatment in the family, possession of narcotics, burglary and escape. Finally, 30 people were reported to the Judicial Authority for property crimes, of which 6 were reported for theft of energy, as part of specific checks carried out in collaboration with Enel teams. Finally, in Niscemi, 568 people and 263 vehicles were identified; 18 traffic violations were issued and 2 people were reported to the Prefecture for personal use of narcotics. 174 people were under special surveillance and those under house arrest were subjected to checks. One person was arrested and 10 were reported at large for various crimes against property and for possession of narcotics.
