Two new and interesting editorial works will be presented, between Friday 28 and Saturday 29 June 2024, respectively in Calimera and Lecce. In the center of Grecìa salentina, in the rooms of the Natural History Museum, at 6:30 pm on Friday, curated by the “Enrico Panzera” scientific naturalistic library, the photographic volume “Africa Selvaggia: appunti di viaggio. I Maasai, i pastori guerreri” (Pensa editore) will be presented, by the ornithologist and former director of the WWF oasis “Le Cesine” in Lecce-Vernole, Sandro Dino Panzera. The event is sponsored by the Municipalities of Calimera and San Cesario, by the photographic association “Tempo di scatto” and by the Aps “Tempo presente”.

In Lecce, on Saturday at 7.30 pm, in the hall of the “Roberto Caracciolo” Library adjacent to the church of Fulgenzio (via Imperatore Adriano, 79), it will be the turn of the posthumous collection of poems “The almond trees will bloom again” (Milella editrice), by Fra Domenico Pulimeno, on the 60th anniversary of the priestly ordination of the Franciscan father, historic point of reference for the community that gathers around the church of Sant’Antonio a Fulgenzio. Introduced and moderated by Fra Paolo Quaranta, the editor of the volume, Franca Loizzi, and the university professor of text criticism and hermeneutics, Carlo Alberto Augieri, will take part in the presentation. Interspersed with musical moments, professor Carlo Spinelli will read some of the lyrics contained in the collection. At the end, also, the guided tour of the sixteenth-century Nymphaeum and the Franciscan art gallery.
