The Gal Sicilia Central Southern as part of the activity to support businesses in the area of the 13 municipalities of Camastra, Campobello di Licata, Canicattì, Castrofilippo, Comitini, Favara, Grotte, Lampedusa and Linosa, Licata, Naro, Palma di Montechiaro, Racalmuto and Ravanusa, issued the public notice relating to the interventions envisaged under Submeasure 19.2 of the PSR Sicily 2014-2020 – Participatory local development strategy “Central-Southern Sicily Rural District” action of the PAL 1.3 “Investments for energy renewable”, operation 6.4b “Investments in the creation and development of plants for the production of energy from renewable sources” area 2, with a total financial allocation of 1,150,373.30 euros of public spending. The action encourages interventions to support investments for the creation and development of non-agricultural activities intended for the production of energy from renewable sources and has as its objective the diversification towards non-agricultural activities, through interventions aimed at production activities, transport and sale of energy from renewable sources.
Energy sustainability will be promoted through the financing of interventions for the construction of plants for the production of solar energy; plants for the production of electricity deriving from water energy (microhydric); systems for the production of wind energy; systems for the production, transport and sale of energy and/or heat relating to thermal power plants with boilers fueled mainly by woody biomass; biogas production plants; small networks for the distribution of energy serving the power plants or micro-systems built.
The beneficiaries of the operation are farmers (agricultural entrepreneurs) and family workers, who diversify their non-agricultural activity by directing it towards the production of energy from renewable sources, natural persons, micro-enterprises and small businesses. For the purposes of admissibility of the application, the presentation of the construction project is a mandatory condition. The eligible interventions are the following: renovation and improvement of real estate strictly necessary to host the plants and associated new buildings as long as they are strictly linked to the energy production plants, the eligible expense of which cannot exceed 10% (Ten percent of the amount project; masonry, construction and excavation works for the construction of distribution networks; Purchase of new plants, machinery, equipment and supplies for the production of energy including those for the processing and transformation of raw materials; necessary for the activity; agro-forestry biomass processing plants, provided they are included in the energy production process; thermal power plants with boilers fueled mainly by wood chips or pellets, which have a maximum electrical power of 1 MW; biomass, with a power of less than 1 MW; Electricity production systems from renewable sources, with a maximum power of 200 kW for photovoltaic and 60 kW for small wind power, with a ban on building ground-based photovoltaic systems; Biogas plants with a maximum power of 250 kW powered by by-products and residual biomass of agricultural and/or agro-industrial origin, and by non-food crops; Auxiliary systems aimed at creating the types envisaged in the previous points and co-generation systems for the combined production of electricity and heat. The maximum amount of support granted under this call for each project proposal is 150,000 euros for a project equal to a total expenditure of 200,000 euros. The portion exceeding this threshold of €150,000 remains the sole responsibility of the proposer.
