Suzuki Rally Cup stops in Verona for the Due Valli Italpress news agency

ROME (ITALPRESS) – After more than a month of silence, the engines of the Suzuki Rally Cup are roaring again, the trophy dedicated to Suzuki rally versions that accompanies the Italian championships of the countersteering specialty up and down the country. In particular for this 4th round, after having stopped in the South in Salento, now the protagonists of the Japanese single-brand have
traveled up Italy to appear at the Verona Arena, and they will be
12 of them will compete for the 42nd Rally Due Valli. The Scaligera race,
turning point of the season, it will thus be a fundamental event for all the battles of the Suzuki Rally Cup, as its protagonists will have the opportunity either to move up in the standings or to shuffle the cards on the table once again.
He will undoubtedly try to escape from the first special stages
young Sebastian Dallapiccola born in 2004, leader of the trophy after the last two consecutive victories. The Trentino talent, coached by Fabio Andrian, now has 79 points in the standings with a good margin over his challengers, having also taken advantage of the misfortunes that befell his rivals in the previous rounds, and so he will try to take advantage of 2Valli to confirm himself at the top again.
On the other hand, two much more experienced crews, with well-known qualities and who will start with the aim of winning, will do their best to put him in check: Roberto Pellè paired with Luca Franceschini and Giorgio Fichera supported by Enzo Colombaro. In fact, Fichera still has a bitter taste in his mouth afterwards
the victory missed in Salento, and will try to make up for it immediately,
while Pellè who won the first round of Ciocco will want to taste the winner’s champagne again, after a few rounds in which he collected less than usual. The other under-25s expected in Verona will throw themselves into the fray – who numerically are half of the crews in the race – including Samuele Santero navigated by Nadir Bionaz and Alessandro Forneris flanked by Vincenzo Torricelli. Forneris will want to repeat the good result with the podium obtained at Ciocco, while Santero currently in 4th place overall will try to improve the results of the latest outings. Davide Bertini will also be competing on a Suzuki Swift Sport Hybrid, with the notes of the usual Luca Vignolo, 4th at Salento and looking for confirmation.
The action of the 42nd Rally Due Valli will begin on Friday 28th with the shakedown from 11am to 1.30pm, shortly followed by the start of the race at 3pm. Then at 3.15pm the protagonists of CIAR Sparco, with the Suzukis in the lead, will parade in Piazza Brà in front of the Verona Arena, to then face the first three special tests. On Saturday 29th we will then start at 8:00 with the first assistance at Veronafiere. The cars will head towards
the first passage of two on the “Moruri”, scheduled for the morning
at 9:19.
