MASSA – The reigning champion team of the Montagne does not betray expectations and with a goal by Giulianelli beats Ortola 1-0 in the match valid for the third edition of the tournament of the hamlet of Massa, currently taking place on the synthetic grass pitch of Raffi in Romagnano.
At the end of the match, the match winner Giulianelli, with his second goal of the tournament, appeared happy: “We are moving forward with the spirit that has always distinguished us. This victory allows us to gain a pass for the next phase. A note of merit goes to goalkeeper Nicodemi who, on his debut, became a protagonist by performing real miracles, 40 years old and not hearing them…”.
Leonardo Da Pozzo is bitter about the defeat. “The match was balanced and well played by both teams. They were good at finding the winning goal and defending the lead, especially at the end when we created several chances to equalize. It’s a shame, we deserved more.”
As regards the Junior Plus tournament, reserved for youth categories, we must note the large successes, both 7-2, of Ortola and Massa who overcame the Poggi and Marina teams respectively. In the last match Ortola’s team took to the field again which had an impact on the 1-1 result against the Montagne.
