TURIN – Arrested in Milan for possession of cocaine for the purposes of trafficking (VIDEO)

TURIN – During the investigative activities conducted by the State Police, aimed at combating drug trafficking, two men, one of Albanian nationality and one Swiss, resident in Turin, were arrested in the last few hours in Milan, seriously suspected of possession of approximately 33 kilograms of cocaine.

The investigators of the Anti-Drug Section of the Flying Squad of the Turin Police Headquarters, assisted by colleagues from the narcotics section of the Mobile Police Headquarters of Milan, initially proceeded to check a 30-year-old Albanian citizen, while, on board an SUV, he was accessing an underground garage in a town in the Milanese hinterland, where there are several garages.

Inside a box to which the man had the keys, the police found and seized 21 blocks weighing approximately 1 kg each containing cocaine, as well as material useful for packaging the drug. The thirty-year-old also had €5,000 in cash.

With other keys found in his possession, investigators also identified an apartment used by a 64-year-old Swiss citizen, where, hidden inside a cabinet with locked doors, there were another 11 blocks weighing 1 kg approximately each, completely identical to those previously found in the garage; furthermore, €76,000 were hidden inside the cabinet, divided into small denomination banknotes, a money counting machine and various material useful for drug packaging

The retail value of the seized substance, according to current market costs, would have earned the pair of accomplices approximately 2.5 million euros.

The investigating judge of Milan validated the arrests.
