New market coup at GesanCom Marsala Volley: Chiara Cecchini arrives

There are already six athlete movements, including new arrivals and confirmations, for the composition of the 2024/25 roster of GesanCom Marsala Volley. The Lilibetan association led, in this new adventure, by Coach Luca D’Amico makes the seventh significant market coup, adding an important piece in the powerhouse battery, ensuring the sporting performances of the Milanese volleyball player born in 2003, Chiara Cecchini. The Orago school player was one of the protagonists in the last B1 series promotion Play Offs with the Catania Volley shirt, not reaching promotion to A2 on the wire against Coach Marco Bracci’s Pallavolo Castelfranco. Chiara Cecchini began her career in the youth teams of the Orago Volley Project from the 2016/17 to 2020/21 season playing the Under 14/16/18 and Serie B championships. Also in the 2020/21 season she moved to the under 18s at the Volley Academy Piacenza, then, two exciting seasons at Amando Volley in Santa Teresa di Riva in which she stood out for having also had to play as a spiker/opposite player to make up for the injuries of some of her teammates. Finally, her season in Catania which made her become a firm point on the Etna scene.

“I can’t wait to start this new adventure in Marsala, I’ve been meeting this team for two years and I’ve had the opportunity to see great professionalism and respect both on and off the pitch. I hope I can bring some of my enthusiasm to the pitch, which luckily never fails. I’m sure that both with the coach and with the girls we will be able to bring out the best in us this season. It’s not long before the start and I’m curious to meet my new adventure companions and the splendid Marsala”.
