Piacenza. Controls in companies: over one million and 200 thousand euros of verified evaded contributions

The contractual irregularities ascertained by the Carabinieri of the Piacenza labor inspectorate unit at the end of the entire control and inspection activity of two companies operating in the production of prestressed reinforced concrete.

The military found a series of violations such as the lack of maintenance of the overhead crane; the presence of fire extinguishers in insufficient numbers and those present were not well marked and easily accessible; lack of traffic due to the presence of materials in workplaces and transit areas; the absence of suitable vertical and acoustic signs to inform workers of the fire risk and danger of falling from heights.

And also having failed to draw up the “emergency evacuation” plan and having made false entries in the LUL (single labor register). In addition to the consequent provision of suspension of business activity for safety violations, the Carabinieri of the Labor Inspectorate Unit reported to the judicial authority the attorney delegated for the activity of the company with registered office in the province of Teramo but with establishment production in Alseno (PC) and the owner of a prefabricated construction company with registered office in the province of Bergamo but with production in the same factory, who were fined almost 60 thousand euros (€59,047). The two were also sanctioned for having concealed illicit procurement contracts with illicit secondments of workers.
