The soldiers of the Operational Section of the Carabinieri Company Command of Vigevano have reported a 34-year-old from Abbiategrasso (MI), domiciled in Vigevano, and a 35-year-old from Massa Carrara on the loose.
The operators, this morning, carried out, together with personnel from the NAS of Cremona and the soldiers of the Operational Section of the Carabinieri Company Command of Massa, delegated searches in the places available to the suspects, which involved the provinces of Pavia, Milan and Massa Carrara, aimed at dismantling illicit trafficking of anabolic substances and narcotic drugs.
The investigation began last month, following the death of a 52-year-old from Vigevano, which occurred at the “Humanitas” hospital in Rozzano, after having fallen ill in a city sports facility.
During the investigations, it emerged that the suspects, in competition with each other, obtained and possessed various quantities of anabolic/doping drugs, partly close to expiring, to be illegally sold among gym patrons.
During today’s activities, a total of approximately 3600 tablets, 84 vials of possible doping substances, and 4 vials of narcotic drugs as well as 780 euros in cash were seized.
Investigations are underway to verify the causes of the 52-year-old’s death and the possible correlation of his death with the intake of prohibited substances.
