In Pescara the Guardia di Finanza celebrates 250 years in the citadel of prevention: joint initiative with the medical staff of the Synergo Group
In the prevention citadel set up in Piazza Salotto, starting from 9.30 am today and throughout the day, it is possible to undergo free medical visits and screenings.
The highlight of the party is the ceremony in Piazza Salotto at 7.30 pm. The opportunity for adults and children to see in action also women and men who, wearing the uniform of the Guardia di Finanza, have the task of guaranteeing the economic and financial security of the province of Pescara every day.
“Today – said Antonio Caputo, provincial commander of the Guardia di Finanza – we are celebrating the 250th anniversary of the foundation of the Guardia di Finanza which, together with the medical and healthcare personnel of Pescara, has decided to give a gift to the city. In fact, we have created this citadel of prevention to allow a full day of free medical visits and screenings to citizens in the heart of Pescara, in Piazza della Rinascita, from which we want to be reborn. This evening we will do so by celebrating our anniversary that for two and a half centuries has seen us at the service of the community. This evening you will see the women and men of the Guardia di Finanza in action in all their components. Both the land component, the financiers you see on the road, the green berets, the dog handlers with drug-sniffing dogs. But you will also see the air and naval components that cross the seas and skies because we are also the police of the sea. Some of the vehicles that we use to guarantee the economic and financial security of citizens will be deployed here. So a joint initiative to guarantee fundamental rights to citizens, especially the right to health”.

“Prevention is very important. Unfortunately, due to today’s health problems, very little is done. Thanks to this collaboration with the Guardia di Finanza and Colonel Caputo, this year too we are able to have this beautiful prevention day dedicated above all to women. Prevention of breast cancer, thyroid cancer, cardiovascular, respiratory and dermatological prevention. Completely free visits until this evening. Membership is absolutely significant. Unfortunately, this demonstrates a crucial point in our healthcare that is difficult to prevent. So we all need to ask ourselves a question and find a solution.”
