OFFICIAL – Former Cantù Nikolic signs with Vanoli Cremona

Vanoli Basket Cremona announces that the player Stefan Nikolic will play with the white and blue jersey in the 2024/2025 season.

Born in Belgrade on May 29, 1997, Stefan is a 203-centimeter forward of Serbian nationality but Italian by basketball background.

His career in the youth team began at Virtus Bologna, after transferring from Red Star Belgrade. With the Bologna team he won the Under 17 tricolor by contributing the 26 points scored in the final. In 2014 he moved to Stella Azzurra Roma where he also made his debut in Serie B. He completed his training course in Naples, after passing through Capo d’Orlando.

In his first season in the Campania capital, Nikolic was among the protagonists of the team’s promotion to Serie A2 thanks to 13 points, 5.8 rebounds and 1.8 assists on average per game, he won the Italian Cup in the category as MVP and was named best under 21 of the Serie B. He remained in Naples the following season too, scoring 10.7 points, 3.7 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 28 minutes of use in his debut season in A2. He ends the year in Montegranaro. He played in the playoffs with Poderosa and then moved to Udine the following championship. The excellent year in Friuli, with the playoffs ending at 12.8 points, 5 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game, earned him a new call from Virtus Bologna where he remained for two years and where he won the 2020/2021 championship.

He played the last three seasons in Cantù, in Serie A2. With the Brianza team he went from 6.9 points and 3.6 rebounds on average in his first season to 15.8 points and 5.4 rebounds on average in his second season. In the one just concluded he confirmed himself with 10.3 points and 4.2 rebounds, arriving with his team to compete for the final promotion.

Now the return to Serie A with the arrival in Cremona, wearing the Vanoli shirt.
