Savona. Even in Savona the Financial Police has celebrated 250 years of the corps with a ceremony held in the provincial command headquarters in via Famagosta.
The ceremony began by looking back at the history of the yellow flames. After reading the message from the President of the Republic Sergio Mattarella and the speech from the commander general Andrea De Gennaro, the provincial commander Colonel Aldo Noceti spoke. “Everyone does their part concretely with a view to the general interest. The rule of doing well involves the Financial Police in awareness of great responsibilities that are entrusted to us in the economic and financial sector,” he said during the speech.

After thanking the prefect Carlo De Rogatis, the commissioner Alessandra Simone as well as the provincial commander of the carabinieri Vincenzo Barbanera, the heads of the civil and military bodies of the province and the judicial authority for their collaboration recalls some of the operations carried out by the men and women of the financial police in the province: the seizure of fictitious credits relating to the 1 billion econobonus, the seizure of two aircraft worth 12 million at Villanova airport for violations of customs regulations, the seizure of large quantities of drugs, the to combat the trade of counterfeit materials withdrawn from the market to protect Made in Italy and health. “A lot has been done both on a preventive and repressive level, the results have been achieved thanks to the constant commitment through calibrated, flexible and coordinated action“.
And he concluded: “The protection of public resources takes on extraordinary importance today because the ability and credibility to face the challenges of the coming years depends on their correct allocation”.
