CATANIA – A drug fort was discovered by the Carabinieri in the San Cristoforo district. In the operation, four pushers were arrested for drug dealing: a 39-year-old, a 34-year-old, a 23-year-old, all convicted, and a 41-year-old originally from Bangladesh. The four had created a logistical base for drug dealing, especially crack, in a studio apartment.
The Carabinieri discovered the studio apartment and after observing it they understood that it had become a point of dealing, especially at night. They then waited for the moment to intervene and decided to enter when two people entered the courtyard from which they then entered the apartment.
The break-in
The military qualified and the 41 year oldwho had the task of welcoming the buyers at the door, attempted to close the door, but the Carabinieri still managed to enter the apartment and found, near a wooden staircase, two sachets: one contained a ten grams of crack and the other a drug cutting substance.
In the studio apartment there was a 32 inch screen whichconnected to three cameras, allowed the entire perimeter of the house to be monitored, two buttons to open the entrance doors automatically, a precision digital scale, several rolls of silver paper for packaging drugs.
All the drugs and money were seizedwhile the pushers were placed at the disposal of the Judicial Authority, which validated the arrest and ordered the measure of precautionary custody in prison.
