CITIZEN MOURNING TODAY IN BOLZANO TO REMEMBER BOCAR DIALLO

It was a day of mourning and homage to Bocar Diallo, the 31-year-old Senegalese worker who died following the injuries sustained after the accident on 21 June at the Aluminum Bozen factory in Bolzano. The city of Bolzano did this with the display of the City banner at half-mast on all municipal buildings, the observance of 1 minute of silence at 12 pm and at the same time and time the simultaneous suspension of work activity in the municipal offices, the suspension of musical performances scheduled in public squares and of any other recreational and recreational activity.

At the Parco dei Cappuccini in the center of Bolzano, in front of the monument to those killed at work, many people gathered, from the mayor of the South Tyrolean capital Renzo Caramaschi, with the entire municipal council present, to the Prefect for Alto Adige Vito Cusumano, to the representatives of the various union acronyms, to ordinary citizens up to the friends and colleagues of Bocar Diallo. Flowers were placed. A way to remember him all together, he, who died while working and looking for a better life in Alto Adige than the one he had abandoned in Africa. It was a spontaneous participation of the feelings of the entire community, to solemnly express the City’s pain for this serious and painful loss, rallying around Bocar Diallo’s family, colleagues and some friends.[Vs]
