A few days after the opening of the construction site which will allow the construction of the City of Chocolate a collaboration is activated between the Umbria Jazz Foundation and Destinazione Chocolate which was awarded the thirty-year concession of the Perugia Covered Market.
«The objective of this free entry initiative – declares Vasco Gargaglia, president of Destinazione Cioccolato Srl SB – is to make our fellow citizens understand how on our part there is the full will to create a project that manages to connect harmoniously with the ecosystem of the city of Perugia, for example also supporting those initiatives which, like UJ, have made it famous throughout the world. The occasion will also be useful to reveal the City of Chocolate project to the citizens which, up to now, we have dutifully kept confidential, preferring to wait for the conclusion of the complex bureaucratic approval process.”
The protagonists of this initiative will be the Sticky Bones who will play at the Covered Market Terrace every day from 12th to 21st July at 7.30pm and 10pm, offering the magical atmosphere of a swing dance, as already happened in the last century and as recently revived by some local entities. Afterwards, from 11.00 pm until 2.00 am, local DJs will alternate every evening inside the Vinyl Groove Selection container: Goobee on 12 July, Balearic Showcase on 13 July, Janky Groove on 14 July, Jazzy M on 15 July, Fab MAyday on July 16th, Disco Bully on July 17th, Black Merend0ass on the 17th, Boogaloo on the 18th, Quartomondo on the 19th, Ricky L on the 20th and Chiskee on the 21st.

The audience, which we hope will be numerous, will be able to simultaneously enjoy the excellent and engaging swing of the Sticky Bones and a breathtaking view towards Assisi. The terrace finally returns to be the protagonist of the cultural life of our city.”
For the occasion, a Street Food Court will also be temporarily activated (open from 10.00 to 02.00), in the container symmetrically opposite to the one already occupied by the three market activities, which in Spring 2025 will be transformed into an elegant Chocolate Bar.
