On Sunday 30 June, on the occasion of the “Fausto Coppi” Granfondo, the following traffic changes relating to the roads in the Municipality of Cuneo will be in force. The changes along the route in the Cuneo valleys will be defined with an ordinance from the Prefecture.

PARKING PROHIBITIONS (forced removal in force)

Continuous from 12pm on Friday 28 June until 8pm on Sunday 30 Juneno vehicles will be able to park in the internal and external ring sections of Piazza Galimberti – Gesso side – from Corso Garibaldi to Via Bonelli – with the exception of those authorised;

from 00 to 20 on Sunday 30 Juneno vehicle will be able to park along the remaining parts of the internal and external rings of Piazza Galimberti – with the exception of authorized ones;

from 1 to 7.30 on Sunday 30 Juneno vehicle will be able to park along the Corso Soleri roadway between Piazza Galimberti and Largo De Amicis – to allow the passage of runners starting from Piazza Galimberti;

from 7am to 8pm on June 30thno vehicle will be able to park along the following stretches of road affected by the arrival of the runners of both routes: – Corso Garibaldi – carriageway – from Piazza Galimberti to the Garibaldi roundabout; – viale degli Angeli – carriageway – for its entire extension up to viale Mistral – roundabout with via Carolina Invernizio.

ROAD CLOSURE

From 3am to 8pm on Sunday 30 Juneno vehicle will be able to transit along the entire road ring of Piazza Galimberti – excluding authorized vehicles – *vehicle transit will be permitted according to the route from via Bonelli to via Savigliano;

from 6 to 7.30 on Sunday 30 Juneno vehicle will be able to pass along Corso Soleri – limited to the stretch between Piazza Galimberti and Largo De Amicis – for the passage of runners starting from Piazza Galimberti;

from the passage of the “start of the race” car to the passage of the “end of the event” car on Sunday 30 Juneno vehicle will be able to transit along the stretch of Corso Soleri, Soleri viaduct and subsequently in Via Torino up to the Madonna dell’Olmo roundabout, towards Busca (as regards the GF) and in Via Valle Maira towards Caraglio (as regards the MF ) – to allow the departure at 7am from Piazza Galimberti and the exit from the municipal area for the continuation of the races (as per the prefectural ordinance);

dfrom 9.30am to 6pm on the same day, no vehicle will be able to pass along Viale Mistral starting from the border with the Municipality of Borgo San Dalmazzo and for its entire extension, along Viale degli Angeli for its entire extension, along Garibaldi roundabout, along Corso Garibaldi from Garibaldi roundabout to Piazza Galimberti, to allow the arrival of the runners participating in the Medio Fondo and the Granfondo (as per the prefectural order).

DETAIL OF GALIMBERTI SQUARE

As regards the Piazza Galimberti ring road – descending direction – from Corso Garibaldi to Via Bonelli (excluded): closure to vehicular traffic continuous from 12pm on Friday 28 June to 8pm on Sunday 30 June;

no parking – external ring – internal ring chalk side: continuous from 12pm on Friday 28 June to 8pm on Sunday 30 June. Regular traffic in the ascending direction, while in the descending direction all vehicles coming from Corso Nizza will have to turn into Corso Garibaldi, while those coming from Corso Garibaldi will be prohibited from entering Piazza Galimberti. Starting from Sunday 30 June from 4 am, vehicles will not be allowed to enter Piazza Galimberti from via Bonelli, with the exception of users of parking spaces or garages as well as the pharmacy and accommodation facilities in the square.

The above times may be subject to change, for reasons of traffic and safety of people, according to the assessment of the police forces responsible for surveillance, in the event of any unforeseeable contingencies.

During the course of the event, upon the arrival of the runners and in any case starting from 9.30 am on June 30th, the roadway of Viale degli Angeli will be closed to vehicular and/or pedestrian traffic, for safety reasons. Therefore, starting from the same time, the urban pedestrian area of ​​Viale degli Angeli (in the stretch between Corso Brunet and the sanctuary of the Madonna degli Angeli) will be revoked.

Any crossings on the race route may only be permitted with the prior authorization of the police bodies responsible for supervision.
