A 39 year old Apulian woman it would have been brutally attacked at home his in recent hours in the Brindisi area after a family quarrel and is now in very serious conditions. Investigations into the incident, which occurred late yesterday evening, Tuesday 25 June, in Latiano, are still ongoing but the position of the lady’s partner is now being examined by the police. The man, slightly older, has already been taken to the barracks and interviewed by the military to reconstruct what happened and give his version.
According to a very first reconstruction of the facts, the neighbors would have raised the alert of the couple, alarmed by the screams and commotion coming from the house on Tuesday evening. The emergency call to the police was made around 10pm when the military personnel rushed to the scene together with the 118 health workers. Upon their arrival, the victim of the attack had obvious trauma from the beatings and was immediately rescued and transported. in the emergency room at the “Perrino” hospital in Brindisi.
In the hospital the doctors found numerous traumas and injuries from beatings on the 39-year-old, confirming the hypothesis of assault and ordering the woman to admission to the intensive care unit. The patient’s situation would be serious even if she is currently stable and the doctors have reserved the prognosis.

Even if the dynamics of the events reconstructed so far seem to point towards domestic violence, at the moment there are no suspects. Investigations into the case are continuing to shed full light on the facts and reconstruct the exact dynamics of what happened given that at the time of the attack the two were alone in the house. All eyes are on the woman’s 41-year-old partner who could be charged with the crimes relating to the attack in the next few hours.
