It will be thanks to an agreement between a local entrepreneur and the Municipality of Molfetta that the Piazza in the Ex Mattatoio Market will have a new life.
Not only clear redevelopment interventions but also a destination more suited to its use and its own realization than what has happened so far.
The City Council, in fact, has given the green light to the project presented by a local trader: he will, at his own exclusive expense, take care of the reclamation of the area and will also reclaim and compensate the wall adjacent to the area that separates the market with the road behind so as to have the concession space to expand their business. The Municipality will be responsible for creating the new toilets.
The Authority is firm in its belief that it is following the best path to support trade also with this type of initiative, “taking into account – we learn – that the Municipal Administration intends not only to support the productive activities present in the municipal territory by creating new opportunities working, especially in this period of slow but significant economic recovery, but also to regenerate and redevelop the identifying areas of the city such as the squares in order to improve the quality of life of citizens and act in favor of decorum and environmental quality”.
Therefore, municipal support also arises from the decision to “encourage proposals for improving trade, especially when they have a positive impact – from many points of view – on the conditions and quality of the city”.
